是至交好友。马克西姆的曾祖父也曾在中国哈尔滨、上海生活和教学过。后来，马克西姆的曾祖父任教于东京艺术大学，并且还是日本小提琴学校创始人之一。马克西姆的祖父David Mogilevsky是著名大提琴演奏家同时也是格拉苏诺夫弦乐四重奏（The Glazunov String Quartet）的创始成员，和Shostakovich是好友。马克西姆的父亲Yevgeny
